Twitter reacts as bipartisan immigration reform gets rolling

There is no doubt that the ball is rolling on comprehensive immigration reform with a bipartisan group of Senators releasing a framework for the deal ahead of President Obama’s announcement of his plan on Tuesday. As news unfolded, newsmakers and immigrants rights groups took to Twitter to chime in on the rare bipartisan deal making.

Ana Navarro, John McCain’s national Hispanic co-chair in 2008 and Jon Huntsman’s in 2012, praised the Senators for working together.

President Barack Obama was sworn-in for his second term on Monday as millions watched on TV, online and in person. Latinos in attendance and on social media reacted to the inauguration festivities.

In the lead up to the inauguration, many enjoyed the Latino Inaugural 2013 celebration at the Kennedy Center.
